Which thickness breaching washer - barrel overtimed

Alright... I plan to use a STG58 barrel that was installed on an old Entreprise receiver (for whatever reason, the receiver was chopped).

The barrel shoulder was relieved to the point that it hand times at 2:00+ on an in spec DSA receiver.

What thickness breech washer do you recommend to hand time this barrel in the sweet spot?

So you need what, at least 90 degrees?

.00017 x 90 = .0153
.00017 x 95 = .0161
.00017 x 100=.0170

If it's 2:00+ I'd go a couple thou more. Depending on the shim material you could go .020 but it may get really tight towards 12.

Yuppers.

.005 per 'clock position' is a good rule of thumb.

Also, be sure the breech face is not contacting the interior ring.

Thanx guys. Awesome!

Breech face is not contacting.

I’m also kicking around using an old CIA Argy receiver with this barrel as well. This one does make contact with the breech face at 10:30, and there is a gap between the shoulder and receiver. I thought about driving the barrel home (ala Imbel) and using a feeling have to measure shoulder gap and then adjust fire with a slightly thicker breech washer....does that seem kosher if I went this route?

Ive done similar, not for a fal though and not torqued fully down already.
What I did was clamp hand tight on feeler gauges where I wanted it and then add some.
IIRC, I ended up needing .012" more then I measured for my final washer.
But I also had the means to spin and grind my own washer, rather then needing to order one.

Thank you very much guys!

Im leaning towards using the Argentine receiver. I know that I am throwing more variables into the mix over simply shimming the DSA receiver, but I like the idea of having the additional point of contact interface between the barrel and receiver..... redundant as it may be.
