Advice on Entreprise L1A1 Sporter- pics added

Hi guys,
Just want some opinions on this L1A1 that I got this weekend. It’s my first inch FAL, and instead of using the wise adage, “Research before you buy”, I used my usual method of “Buy now, do the research later to find out how badly I got jacked”. But it looked pretty cool to me, and the price seemed good, so...
Anyway, it’s got an Entreprise Irwindale ABNI receiver, serial number EAI 0044XX.
I guess the rest is British, but I don’t know if the top cover is British or aftermarket. Good to shoot? Not so good? I’ve seen some guys write that the flash hiders tend to banana peel open?
Should I try to find one of those Trilux scopes for it? Are they good for shooting, or really just for show?
Pics to follow...

Some pictures would be great. However, the receiver is good to go. Trilux sights pop up on the Marketplace if that floats your boat. An inch pattern top cover will be "tabbed" at the back. Personally I'd shoot it with iron sights to see how it does, If you want to scope it up there are mounts available. You didn't say how much you paid for it so whether you got jacked for it or not is open to conjecture.

I have occasionally had issues with mag well length on even ABNI marked receivers, requiring a slight extension of the mag catch, but overall, ABNI marked are good to go.

Easy to test. If the mag falls out when firing, weld and extension on the mag catch and file until a mag will just lock.

I want to post pics, but for some reason, the "Posting Rules" box says, "You may NOT post attachments".
What gives?

FF has never allowed attachments. You must host elsewhere like imgur and link to it.

Good looking stick. The top cover is a tri-lux mount so you are part way there if you want to go that route.

Cost me $1,200. Seems like you can’t get much cheaper than that for a decent FAL.
I’d like to try a Trilux, but I read something about the bases being fragile? Do they tend to break off if you shoot them?

Nice looking rifle, I'm really digging the wood furniture. Pricewise I think you did very good. Enjoy.

The FAL is not a "platform".
It is a lady-lookin' foreign made collection of sexy Belgian curves that intimidates the shit out of today's Pajama-boy males.

It's not an Assault Rifle, it a Sport Utility Rifle.

You did fine on price. Heck the SUIT mount is worth a Benjy by itself.

I understand the rivets may come loose on the mount after time, but most of us will not shoot one enough to wear one out if it's not that way now. YMMV.

Very nice you did well, ABNI is GTG the easiest I have built on anyway, no surprises during assembly.

Not the experience of others but have three inch pattern builds on Enterprise ABNI receivers and both are rock solid perfect with no issues or surprises. One is on an L2a1 heavy barrel build and has seen some use since I acquired it because use it as my shooter while my other L2a1s are vault queens. Other is a matching numbers British L1a1 kit and the parts appear as if the original rifle was only fired for testing and then parked. I ran a single magazine through it to ensure it functioned after covering it with painters tape to prevent brass kisses and now it's a vault queen. Have too many FAL variants that are a mix of parts to shoot that have stopped randomly busting caps through the nicer ones except for a SAR-4800 in 5.56 that has been swapped from thumbhole to match it's SAR-48 brother that enjoy taking to the range as wife can shoot it off a rest without damaging her shoulder and sometimes it's just fun to shoot an FAL that has almost zero recoil. Nice boom stick sir.

Your L1A1 looks awesome, and I think you did very well on the price. I do not think Inch Pattern FALS will be getting any cheaper in the future.

You have to round down to the nearest indefinite pronoun and then you'll arrive at the correct answer. So if I may break it down it should look like this:

3~both=both

Pretty basic math.

Thanks to you all for your advice and comments.
Now I just need to find a SUIT scope, and a bayonet, to really trick it out.
It seems like I used to see those scopes and bayonets at every gun show, and now I can't even find one for sale online.

Walter Huey Mitty has at least 6 of every gun gun ever made and a dozen more of guns never made. His 300 pounds of gear he throws on every night in 8.5 seconds to fire-drill his perimeter like the sexy dude in generation kill doing PT in his gas mask with rocks in his ruck. (it's not gay to call him sexy - 'cause he is!).

The guy is such a pathological liar that I put him on ignore a year ago - just got boring calling him out on his bullshit every day
