If this Country had any Balls left we would line up every piece of
crap we're feeding at Gitmo today and deliver a message to the UN and the
Arab World with a Bullet to forehead of everyone of them.

As Bush said after 911, We are going after those who did it AND those who harbor them.
We are still after those who harbored them, and will be for some time, god willing.

Unhappy

Top these pictures.

I forget when I took them; it was either just before I joined the Army in 1975 or later in 1976. I was using a 110 Film Camera. I had just visited the Stature of Liberty and was on the Ferry coming back when I took the first picture. It was then that I decided to visit the Towers next. The roll ran out of pictures before I got to the top. As I lived in Greater New York (Long Island) at the time I got out, it's something of a shame I didn't visit the Towers again before I left New York State in 1988.

These were a all scanned from silk prints so have mercy on me.

The pictures that always come to mind for me are those of the jumpers. I have copies of those pics on my computers and look at them from time to time. I looked at them last night while I was watching programs commemorating 9/11.

None of those people had any idea when they went to work that morning that they would never see their families again. I can't imagine what it would be like to have to make the decision to jump as they did.

There is something about the images of those single individuals plummeting to their deaths that underscores for me the truly heinous and ungodly nature of the crime perpetrated against so many unsuspecting Americans that morning.

What sux is it shouldn't be JYO, it SHOULD be EVERYONES...

I'm saddened yet not surprised this thread received so little commentary on yet another anniversary of the heinous event..

Hell we even have those muddying the memory of all those innocents with talk of conspiracy and comments questioning that their were any planes at all??

It's like these people didn't exist, and that their lives had no worth when we shift the responsibility in some twisted sick effort to make those truly to blame less so..

I still remember. I never hated mohamadan folks or culture before, tho I was conversant with the many atrocities perpetrated by allah's pals upon Christians... found the Queeran an interesting read and had guarded respect for mohammedan learning and philosophy... NOW, every murderous atrocity committed by mohammedans (God's curse upon the infidels) or any crime against Americans anywhere by anyone is ample cause to keep that hellish day in memory until the day I by God's grace, die. No forgiveness, no compassion, no forgetting until this sin has been blotted out in blood. Just fire and steel and that's all that can be between Westerners and that abominable culture and religion. No it isn't all of them! We have yet to hear from any of them an apology, an attempt to make it "right", a cleansing of their own ranks. There can be no peace, sadly. History shows us this time and again with those muzzi dogs. My own Dad and his father lived for a time under "enlightened" mohamedan rule. Glad they were to return Home.
Long live THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, and long may ISRAEL, the Jewish, Zionist State, be a "dagger pointed at the heart of the mohammedan world"!
"Teach your children well, their father's hell..."
Interestingly this day has started me rethinking my opposition to bombing Syria. Bambi may be right about that... The cost of war with them may be higher than we can pay. The cost of NOT resisting and destroying them WILL be higher than we can afford as a culture and society to pay.
I went to college with some of these dick-wads. Like a lot of kids they likes to mess around away from their strict upbringing- sure, screw our gals, party on our booze, act tom-fool like a lot of us did too.. and when they go home, they change back... to mohammedan haters of the West. REMEMBER, AMERICA.. We indeed are the "Last bastion of freedom on this Earth..There will be nowhere to run to.." Mohammedanism must be destroyed. Or we will assuredly be destroyed. It is very much about RACE, CULTURE, OUTLOOK and RELIGION. Ceterum censeo islam esse delendam.

I remember pretty much every hour of that day, and how angry I felt. I am no less angry now, perhaps more so because as I age and with the passage of time, there is probably less chance that I will ever do anything, personally, to avenge that day.

As the Federal government becomes ever more pro-Muslim, and promoting Islam at every turn, often portraying it as being bullied by Judeo-Christian America, it makes my F****** blood boil.

I remember being angry that day. But I was more deeply saddened than angry. All those people killed for NO GODDAMNED REASON (sorry!) in such a short period of time. If you remember: the initial estimates of those killed in the two towers went as high as 10,000 by the end of the day. It was numbing. The final tally was significantly less than the highest estimates, but the final tally of our losses was still a painful shock. We had just crossed a new threshold. Evil had been elevated to a new order of magnitude by an unholy cabal that would do anything to kill those they disliked.

We turned a corner.

We honor our dead in part through our commitment to the living, and in our efforts to prevent a future 9/11.

Here are some more images of those who took a final step into oblivion on September 11, 2001. May God rest their souls and the souls of so many others that perished on that day (with maybe nineteen or twenty exceptions).

I was in Hawaii Maui to be exact, I was driving to get some coffee. On my way there I noticed no one was hitting the killer waves, they were sitting around a fire listening to a radio. The post office had the flag at half mast, and closed. I went in to get coffee they told me what happened I rushed back to my place and was glued to the TV the rest of the day. I remember the second plane hitting, everything was crazy.

God Bless Those Unfortunate Souls. I only hope that the families that lost loved ones can someday find peace, comfort and love in their heart again. I visited the flight 93 crash site several years ago. It brought tears of sadness to my eyes but also pride that a fourth target was never reached.

Thank you for the post. I have a serious question: Did the US gummint in the FBI, CDC or whoever keeps the stats count those people as "murdered" or did they put them under "Aircraft Accidents With Fatalities". I'm serious. The gunnint didn't consider the mass murder of the soldiers at Ft. Hood as an act of terrorism but the bastards in charge considered them as work related killings. What from Hell are they trying to pull?

Does anybody know?

TIA

I'll never forget, that's my B-day although a later year.

Mom would be 82 today if she were still alive, RIP. It was a hard time wishing her Happy Birthday that year, too. Long distance, over the phone, me in Seattle working, she at home in Wichita retired.

Both of us, a day of infamy. Pure co-inky, dink.

All y'all never forget.

Ain't never gonna forget, aint never gonna forgive.
And those spineless a$$holes in the house and senate are letting Obama get away with that so-called treaty with Iran.
Mark my words. One of these days, everyone of those that allowed that treat to stand WILL have blood on their hands.

Is it not incredible to think that 14 years later, almost to the very day, American politicians have once again subverted the will of the people and gave Iran nuclear weapons along with 1.5 trillion dollars?

Late to answer but any country or persons who chant "Death to America." All at once. 9/11 would have been a good date to do it. I always liked Napalm. Give me a button and I'll push it for free.

Fifteen years ago today there were many Americans that never made it home from work.

Time to bring this thread back up.

I 'worked' (amateur radio term for having a conversation with) a special events station in NYC this afternoon. 14.260 mhz and the special event call sign assigned them was WA2NYC.

Most times for special events the exchange is very brief, usually just the exchange of call signs and a rote signal report. Lot of people trying to get the contact in their log so things move briskly.

This was a bit different.

Quite a few of the calling stations had a brief comment, something on their minds they wanted to tell the operators in NY. These were welcomed.

I passed along mine. There were a few here in the South remarked at the time that the people that died were Yankees. Hence, no sweat off their balls. The vast majority refuted this with some heat. To summarize, our response to this was, "Yes, they were yankees. But they were OUR yankees."

After passing along a version of that to the operator at the other end of my short wave connection, there was a pause. Then a response of, "God Bless you, we're all Americans."

He was right.

To become inured or accustomed to the still ever present threat only increases our peril,,,, the loss of life and regard still continues,,, for ALL of us.

There are no winners in endless wars, sprung from acts of mass
destruction, save the military industrial complex.

When you lack the will to vanquish your sworn enemies you perish.

If I were any kind of gambler, I'd bet there has not been a decade in the last 10,000 years when there has not been a war somewhere on the planet.

Great post Jen.... Good to see you.

I have to say... It is good to see the spirit here for being a hard American. We were based on being a hard people making hard choices and working even harder to make those choices come true. I am tired of the softness. Being an strong American should not be a wrong thing or judged as deplorable...
