Test pics of My Springfield SOCOM 16

This is a test to sort out posting pics w Imigur.
I hope this works!
I've been wanting to list some of my surplus items in the marketplace!

It looks like this link worked.
I will be sorting through about 10 plus years of FAL/ L1A1 parts collecting.
Hope to see you in the Marketplace soon!

Thanks!
That is actually very funny!
My plans are to change out the barrel to an 18 1/2" fluted with an original style flash hider. It's on the back burner for a while though.

Here are a couple of pics of the barrel I picked up for the conversion.

I will be looking for a full size flashider with the bayo lug in the near future.

I think you will be impressed with the performance of your Wolfe modified Fluted barrel. I have one of the same and, for a shortie, it does very well.

Thanks Art.
I found this in a package deal with an ArcAngel stock with numerous M1A extras.
I jumped on it at $500.
I got lucky!

I find it much better to post the pic itself, instead of just a link.
Click the pic you want at imgur and it will open in a new window.
Go down to the bottom right and click large thumbnail.
Select HTML from the choices and click copy button.
Then just right click and paste in your post.

Smoking deal! I've been eyeing a 16 or 18 for years now since regrettably selling my FA re-Polytech.

What do you hope to gain from a barrel swap? In my mind the only + would be velocity/aesthetics.
Completely your call, but... is it worth it? Not saying don't do it. On the contrary-- I'm actually hoping to learn something.
Just seems like improving the stock, and a few other supporting items/using the right ammo would do more for you?
Maybe save you some coin in the process.

I am not sure what I will gain but I hope to decrease the noise level a bit. I've always liked fluted barrels so when I spotted this one listed as New Old Stock I figured it would be a win win. It should help with accuracy and velocity a bit.
I picked up the SOCOM 16 used but in very good condition for a few hundred less than new cost. It came with some extras also so I figured it would be better than starting from scratch.
I will be selling the 16" bbl with what ever I can't use to help recoup some of my cost. Still not sure about using the Arc Angel stock though.
