Frame lock issue...

I've disassembled my lower (inch) minus the frame lock. Everything else - no issue.

Literally, I am left withe frame lock selector stuck (?) in the lower. All the other frame bits have been removed, It will not come out. Am I missing something?

The trigger assembly/group is still in but that should be no problem. Stock is removed along with all the screws and bits.

The frame lock moves but WILL NOT come out. I have already removed the finish from the right side from *ahem* strenuous attempts.

Help me guys...

Screw #43 in the pic is what holds the lever in. Do you have this removed?

It's right below the locking cam/spring/plunger/cross pin. You need a small flat screwdriver to remove it. The head might be barried in some crud.

Yup, removed. The lever can be pushed out *almost* all the way but will not come out of the lower.

Likely a bur raised on the axle of the lever, or the axle is slightly bent. If you are sure the screw is out (it must be or it would not move at all) - I'd support the left side of the trigger housing, and smack the right end of the axle with a brass punch.

After cleaning out any gunk, put the lever back in upside down on the left side and swing it back and forth to make sure the axle is straight. If not, it is soft and can be gently tapped straight with a brass hammer or punch.

That's kind of what I think. I've used a punch but maybe didn't try as hard as necessary... Would rather not damage the lower or frame lock.

Well, bent 2 punches and no luck... Guess that I'm in the market for an L1A1 frame lock...

The screw/pin & cam mech are the 2 only things that hold the release in there. Like GP said above, could be a burr. Use a bigger punch & BFH. After you get it out check to see if there is any burrs in the channel or if the channel is damaged.

The release should slide right out after removing the screw/pin & depressing the cam from the recoil plate side.

I do you have a pic of the screw you removed? I'm wondering if it broke and you only removed the top half of it.
