Reference - FAL - FN & Steyr proofs: hammer/trigger/sear

This started as a WTT my FN & Steyr hammers / sears for your triggers. But I thought the images might be interesting to put in the Ref & Data section.

One interesting hammer I ran across this AM was a Steyr proofed one with an FN Asterix. So who made it? Makes me wonder if the oval number is an acceptance mark, not a manufacturing marks. And with the huge range of numbers (1 through 40+), I'm wondering if this is some kind of date code and not just an inspector or manufacturer mark.
