Finally got a 686
I picked up a pretty nice stainless S&W 686. I got a pair of Altamont grips and was trying to get some indoor pic. Had to prop it up against two others to make it stand up. I thought it turned out to be a pretty good pic for indoors. Always had better luck taking pics outside in the shade.
Got the itch, now I NEED a blued 586!

Toes? Mag foul? Seriously, I bet that is a sweet shooting Magnum. My only 686 is a “Plus” (seven shooter) and a snub. It is a serious Rosco but I wish it had a little more barrel, like at least 3” or even 4”. I am camping this weekend and will be packing my favorite .357 on my hip, a 4” stainless Ruger Security Six sporting some Herrett Shooting Star stocks.

Great revolver, I love my 686. I finally did pick up a 586. You don't see many around here turning up, but I scored a nice 6" 3-T that will stay in the stable. Good score!!

Never had a 686 but I have owned some 586's, 4" and 6". For an all around general use belt gun it's hard to beat the 586's and 686's. You have a very nice looking revolver.

Sweet, sweet piece, although I own one, I definitely prefer the look of the 586.

I had one but I sold it because it had the Hillary hole in it. It was a nice looking 6" revolver.

Nice 686's (even Gary's horror show
 ) I'm not a revolver fan, but I wish I would have had the cash to offer at the time of my brother selling his 686-4. Great shooter. Boringly easy to hit oil bottles at 150 yds. with Norma .38 Special. Maybe, I'll have to get a 6" in the future...
