Re: Are DSA barrels worth it?

The the best of my knowledge, all Steyr barrels are bi-pod cut which is incorrect for an Izzy, regardless of muzzle configuration.

For pure shootability however, Steyr is generally thought to be one of the best and most accurate barrels.

We can add you. I will put you on the list.
James and Robin were at my place a couple weeks ago for my KY FAL shoot. He has all my contact info as needed.

We might put on a zoom meeting. We talked with James about putting on a major event on the Trinity. I have four wheel BBQ smoker that I plan to bring. I suspect it will be a two day event. So planning is necessary.
I've made the last couple of James' shoots. I would be in :D

Re: Sick of Gone Broker Ads in My Inbox

Create a new email folder and create an email "rule". For example, I've bought bulk ammo from most all the major websites and was getting bombarded with multiple "weekly specials" from several every day. I created a folder named AMMO and created a rule for each of those senders to be redirected to m...

Re: What book are you reading?

On the fiction/relaxation reading, I've started back through the Tom Clancy "Jack Ryan" novels I have not read in 20+ years. Currently in "Sum of All Fears" which is 4th or 5th down that list. My grandsons have now left, so I think I may go to the couch for a Sunday afternoon perusal of a couple cha...

Grandsons are better than real sons!!!!

Don't get me wrong, I loved raising my 5 boys. We had and still have great times together, but I now have a plethora of grandkids, mostly boys. The two boys here this weekend are 9 y/o step-brothers who have been raised together since they were about 3. Definite "partners in crime", but different as...

Re: I for damn sure don't need any more FAL mags

I need another FAL like I need another hole in the head, especially if it is just a kit without a barrel, even at a good price. I have enough will power to just glance past this stuff. No way. No how. I already have plenty of FALs. No more needed. Speaking of barrels, anyone have an Izzy or Argie NB...

(Ya'll have some real "doozies over there, but so do we on the other side). I really do appreciate the info on the boy's Mosin from you guys. The "com block" stuff ...

This is a M44, not 91/30.
So an M44 model# and produced in 1944 by the date stamp, correct?

Or is the "1944" stamp just the model# not an actual date stamp?

Rule #2: Keep your EDC handy and an iron sight AR within easy reach if you must break rule #1.

Rule #3: To ensure 100% success, refer back to rule #1.

Anyone here know Mosins?

My youngest son bought this probably 15 years ago because it was cheap, but never really had an interest in it. Now he needs room in his gun safe. I don't know enough about Mosins to even say who made it or the model, let alone describe it properly or know what to ask for it. It has the bayonet and ...

It isn't the cover. It is the carrier. Been there, done that. You will be much better served to go to https://www.sarcoinc.com/fal-paratroope ... rier-new/e and buy an Argentine Para carrier and use the one pictured as a paper weight.
