Re: I've never done a press check...

. . . but if they were "hot" when you holstered up, how would the chamber get emptied while holstered? No, right after chambering a round, to make sure one went in. When you watch the slide pick a around out of the stack, run it up into the barrel and close on it, you STILL press check? Again, "pre...

Re: I've never done a press check...

I do them on guns used for defensive purposes to make sure a round was chambered. I don't do the range ninja under the muzzle press checks though. . . . but if they were "hot" when you holstered up, how would the chamber get emptied while holstered? Re: new helically fluted M4A1 barrel design

Plenty of places for cracks to start. Anyone that has been to machine gun shoots has seen suppressors, muzzle devices and even barrels break off and fly down range. The military seems to want to turn M4 type weapons into M249s. I can see SDM fluting being a help and is symmetrical all around the bar...

Re: AR tooling question

I hadn't seen the rod styles from MI and Geiselle, but I can see the benefit of that design as it transmits the majority of the force of any work to the steel of the barrel, rather than the aluminum recieved. That said, when torquing a barrel nut, the receiver itself has to be kept from turning. On...

Re: AR tooling question

The upper clamps end up putting a lot of pressure on the receiver, mainly in the barrel nut area. The ones that rely on the take/pivot pin hole in teh receiver puts a lot of pressure on those areas and can cause breakage. If you do any amount of taking uppers apart there is good chance you will enco...

Re: Lets Talk Lever Action Rifles.

The Rossi is a pretty good value, just expect to have to do some work to get it running 100%. I had to modify the pawl that stops the rounds out of the magazine tube to get it to feed reliably. It would hold the round up and not let it feed into the action when the lever was open. I did some action ...

I am still thinking it is very possible Biden bows out due to "medical reasons". The guy is just a massive dimented fuckwit. The DNC will put in whom they really want, probably some kind of black homsexual non binary vegan bicycle. Biden's payback will be money as well as he and his corrupt family no...

Re: Brass case Tula?

Interesting! I did not know they had a brass line! I'm just glad it's not a stepped case. That stuff is evil. I see a bunch of old tight ass reloaders are sorting and saving the stepped 9x19 brass. They develop a load just for it. They do so to save on powder per load. I crush all the stepped 9x19 ...

Re: Simmunitions, where can I get some?

DSG Arms sells ammo, slides, BCGs and mags for it. There are mags made for simunition use that have a length restriction built into the mag so it won't take live ammo.

I watched the latest update from the Sheriff down there overseeing the investigation. The shooter has 230+ felonies to his name and was first arrested at age 12. Is a felon and has been to prison more than once. He was out on bail at the time of these murders. If there was ever a guy to hang in the ...

the last couple summers we really did not get much hot weather, well what is considered hot here. Got up to 96 Sunday and monday with a decent amount of humdity. Not hot to a lot of people but hotter than I like. If it would not get above 80 degrees all year I would be fine with it.

Liberals want to destroy you and your country. But people give you shit when you could give two fucks or are glad when one the head slimebag liberals dies. The "high road" as some call it ends up not working too well when the enemy is always taking low blows to harm you.

So the BATFE confiscated the guns/parts because they violated import law and then later liquidated the same items by auction and put them into the market anyway. Putting a company out of business in the process. Do I have that right? I am glad the guns/parts were not destroyed, however It sounds lik...
