Re: Question For You AK Guys on Yugo M77...

The M92 / M85 is different.

The M70 and I think the M72 have the same front sight base as the M77.

Do you think this would be too big for a jmac adj. Gas block?
Yes, it would have to be turned down in diameter for the rear sight base, hand guard retainer and gas block.

If you are going to cut down and turn down a barrel, the Bulgarian RPK barrel does not have a gas port drilled.

Re: Need a list of the 3 most common LS sizes FALS h/space to

The Belgian FAL's varied a lot. The Austrian-made STG-58's have deeper barrel chamber and much more consistent in size, with small variations and thicker locking shoulders than the Belgian-made rifles. The Belgian barrels have less case support, shorter chambers, with thinner locking shoulders and g...

Re: I’m Under Investigation For Buying Diesel Parts!

Suppressors can registered and made.

If the material they are from start out as sediment traps or pipes from Home Depot it shouldn't matter.

The parts are either suppressor parts or they aren't.

If they aren't suppressor parts to begin with, it shouldn't matter who buys them.

Re: M72B1 Selector Stop Fitting

The receiver side should be alright. The angled side is easy if it is installed on the receiver and latch is not in place, as it is just parallel with the top of the receiver, so the receiver can be set flat on its top while machining. It only ends up at an angle to the bottom, because the bottom is...

There were type 1 sear cut receivers, maybe no type 2 Browning sear cut receivers and after several years of no commercial FAL imports, the first batch of type 3 receivers imported were sear cut.

The distance should be the same for milled receivers, AKM receivers and RPK receivers. The bolt carrier, with the bolt rides on the top rail of the receiver and the barrel and bolt are the same distance from the top of the receiver is all models. The magazine feeds with the bolt and barrel at the sa...

Test fit everything first.

It might be fine.

Maybe a couple of screws to hold the trigger guard in place and try a magazine.

Have the trunnion located in the receiver too.

If the AK was pointed at the driver, was it pointed at the driver before or after the driver pulled out a pistol? The driver had time to roll down the window and then stick the pistol outside of the vehicle with his left hand before he aimed and fired it. The shooter that shot at the vehicle as it d...

Re: Build Help: Options for m-lok/keymod handguard for Yugo RPK and options for grater gas tube?

The M72 hand guards are shorter than the M70 ones.

MAYBE the gas tube can accept a standard AK length rail, but the rear sight base is farther back on the Yugo AK's, making the gas tube longer.

An AK-74 bolt carrier has a thicker, larger diameter stem. Sometimes they are a close fit to the hinge, but sometimes they will not pas all the way through the hinge block. The Krinkov bolt carrier has a smaller diameter stem to mount the gas piston and to give clearance through the hinge block and ...
