Re: The AR BCG thread.. I had a KB and need a new BCG

Id be hesitant to use that's barrel extension or bolt again . that was my original thinking and I have come back to it. Also decided to pull down or dispose of all my .223 ammo because I am not 100% sure which ammo I was using at the time but I had 2 cans of ammo with me at the time. One can of ran...

I can’t help with your problem or the cause, because I’m not knowledgeable enough to.

But I wanted to say that I’m glad you are ok.

Re: The AR BCG thread.. I had a KB and need a new BCG

I HAD THE EXACT style KB shooting a Factory Colt A4 a few years ago. I was shooting Radway Green. Just finished off a case and opened a new case. After I shot about 100 rounds it went KB. Going through what happened I noticed several missing primers and pushed back primers. My kB case looked 100% l...

Re: The AR BCG thread.. I had a KB and need a new BCG

That was an ammo problem not bolt or bolt carrier problem. You may be correct but I don’t know that I trust the BCG anymore. Also, I’m pulling every pice of .223/5.56 I have except for my match stuff which is loaded with varget and I consider that unpossible to over charge to the point of KB I'd in...

Hmmmm
Primer flowed back into pin hole.
Case flowed into extracter cut .

No picture of the actual BCG
The BCG, I think is still GTG

Other than it looks like it was staked by a caveman with a sledgehammer.

Re: The AR BCG thread.. I had a KB and need a new BCG

What do you think happened? New build? Old build with a lot rounds? Details man. Bump firing? Out of battery ? I don’t know what happened. It was a factory built RRA NM H-BAR. The BCG was a little suspect Now that you mention it, I had just bump fired a full Beta-C earlier with it but at this point...

That looks like fired out of battery. The walls of the case look good and supported until it hits the rear. Would be interesting to know more details for sure.

The problem is that it had a strong primer strike which you can’t get out of battery.
