Re: BIG BOOM in BEIRUT

One who is familiar with combat secondaries knows that they don't tend to be (multi) kiloton events. From what I've seen so far, I'm at about 90% accident/negligence, 9% intentional sabotage, 1% Israeli subterfuge. And I am not a fan of Israel in the least. Just curious, you ever been to Israel? I'...

Re: BIG BOOM in BEIRUT

Don't get me wrong, I expect that blast was done on purpose. Just not with a missile. Right on the water front, perfect job for them navy types. Why use a missile, when a few guys in scuba gear, some det cord, and a timer leaves nothing behind? I hear ya. Missile is pretty obvious. Some of the othe...

Re: BIG BOOM in BEIRUT

New video plainly shows the missile that set it off. From a couple angles. Its on twitter. Trump was right. It was an attack. Its not shown up on any of the other videos,,,suspect, fake. And since the place was burning before the big explosion, hundreds of videos were taken. A missile can be tracke...

Re: Why not/and when

Don't be shy. Throw some RPG's, mortar fire and IED's, suicide bombers and the whole lot like the middle east. Or you could use the Oregon open carry in Portland and see how far that gets with the federal guys and rioter. I'll watch :) When the RPGs and mortars come out, I'll be headed for Portland...

Re: BIG BOOM in BEIRUT

it was 2750 TONS, or 5.5 MILLION LBS of ammonium nitrate, evidently stored somewhat haphazardly in a warehouse that was also full of fireworks. What kind of genius stores ammonium nitrate with fireworks? Perhaps a bit of diesel fuel as well? The Big Kaboom was a question of when not if. Yeah, proba...

Re: Does your workplace allow you to carry firearms?

Only one company that I ever worked for had an official policy prohibiting firearms on premises. Even then, the unofficial policy was keep in your car, and don't talk about it. Since I've been self employed for nearly a dozen years, I always carry.

Re: BIG BOOM in BEIRUT

It's definitely interesting. I found a vid posted on Twatter that clearly shows fireworks going off in the smoke cloud, and then BOOM! one very large high order detonation. Very reminiscent of the PEPCON (rocket fuel plant) explosion up back in the '80s.

He watched a YouTube video where they were testing cheap eBay “silencers” for effectiveness at noise suppression. Then the feds showed up. So assuming he is not unde...
