45LC in a 44-40 73 Winchester levergun And a 45LC round ended up in a box of 44-40 reloads. Completely disassembling a Winchester in the field to remove the offending round that won’t chamber is a major fekking PITA and a great new word inventing opportunity as well with the hot Texas sun baking th...

Yeah I’d say that most of us with 44-40 Winchester’s and their revolver is a 45LC have either done this, or will do this at some point in their lives.
Pro Tip: disassembling and reassembling a Winchester in the field is zero about as much fun as an adult circumcision without sedative

I think they’re mostly looking for the big trucks. Big trucks = big money, but it’s all a cash grab no matter what you drive.

I’ve always wanted to get to this one. Not so far away, see some old friends, meet a bunch of new ones. Like others, time’s catching up with me, the body went to seed 10 years ago with the back surgery, and it’s time to do it again. 280 lbs of whale grease puffing around the range! :D But I think it...

I used to have his contact info, but that was years ago. Bill, I’ll call you or get ahold of James. I’m getting old and can’t remember, but didn’t we all discuss where he was working? I’ll have some time tomorrow so I can slide down there and snag him at work.

Chill guys. I usually don’t take sides, and Bill and I are pretty far apart politically, but Bill, I, and everyone that I have met from this board loves The United States of America with all their heart and we all want the same thing, but have different ideas on how to get to the same place. Those w...

Honestly, I’m not the slightest bit surprised. Anywhere there are 10s of millions of dollars flowing freely for decades, you’re bound to find corruption, if not corruption on a grand scale. But dissolution? Uuuh, that’s a bridge to far there, Letittia. Good luck with that. But folks, stop and think ...

I missed the exact cylinder he was describing at 500 completely out of 40 rounds on a Belgian StG I had just built. Yup, you were there to witness my 1 hit in 20 shots, as was Txmoose, ExCan, James, and others. James and TXmoose were both here at my place last month for the KY shoot and reminded me...

The good thing about Plano is that it’s centrally located in North Texas. Physically, Plano is huge, really spread out. So within a 30-45 minute drive, you’ll find several smaller towns where you can pick up a place reasonably cheap. That’s what we did. My shop’s in Lewisville, Joy worked in Dallas,...

Re: Nice and peaceful around here now.
Well, first off let me say that I consider the FAL to be the finest Battle Rifle ever made. Having said that, I think that I'd rather have an AKM if the SHTF.. Also, you FAL filers are going to miss us AKfilers once we're gone.. You all are always welcome over there if you ever get to miss entertai...

I have a very, very good friend who’s immediate family are many generational Beirut Orthodox Cristians and who call Beirut home. I fondled one once. Found it sitting in a bucket of junk at a gun show. The guy wanted 50 bucks for it, I hummed and hawed then walked away. Stewed over it for 10 minutes, came back and it was gone. Bill probably bought it. :D It would have been an interesting conversation piece I could put beside ...

What a awesome time we had at Sweetwater Grille. Bill, James and I hung around afterwards and just shot the breeze for an hour or two. Good to catch up on old (to me) times. Much went on here for years when I was waiting to be approved, read about it on here, saw it occur, just couldn’t comment. I w...
