Smith and Wesson 29 price check

I have a 29-10 "Bounty Hunter".
It's in great shape, not new. Has the case and everything, including the ignition key.
Anyone know what it's worth? They're few and far between so I haven't found another for sale in a while.

Only one I see on gunbroker did not sell at $967.

I'd estimate used value at 600-900 depending on how much someone wants one.

Thanks!
It's hard to get a feel when the few that can be found didn't sell.

Whoa! I'll bet that baby has a muzzle flash like a Cessna hitting a high tension power line.;)

It's a lot of fun to shoot!
Especially with bulky powder for that very reason.

$800.00

Depending on your area it might go for a little higher. More likely than not, it'll go for a little less. It really depends your area

You can try GB as that would be the best way for a lot of people to see it. It might go fo $900.00
Maybe even a little higher

Thats a real nice looking pistol. :whiskey:
I've never heard of that variant before.

I can't offer any wisdom toward value, but I know for a fact that as soon as Smith went down the "Safety" road, it killed future sales of new pistols....except for those that don't know better. That hole in the side detracts value...in a big way. I've tried to like them, and can't.

I belong to a local regional forum that has a Smith collector always putting up stuff for sale. Holy crap, I don't know who his "hook up" was, but some of the stuff he posts for sale and just eye candy, is incredible....in beauty and rarity.
And holy shit, the sale prices...I can't afford none of it.

Eta,
He avoids anything with the "Ignition switch"...

I think the "bounty hunter" was a buds deal.
I'd personally rather have "Mr. Blasty" etched on the barrel.

You're not kidding about the ignition key killing the value.

These guys make a cool fix, it's practical, but not the same.

Yup - the Hillary Hole kills resale value. The newer S&Ws also use MIM parts, frame mounted firing pins and 2 piece barrels. The older pre-lock/pre-MIM S&W are perceived to be a better value/investment.
