Other than the Air Force, (Ok, stop laughing) I haven't had any instruction in shooting rifles. Anyone care to share what works for them.

Dry firing is the #1 way to improve quickly. After that, shoot a LOT and with specific aims in mind (not just sending lead downrange).

A lot will depend on what you want to do with your rifle, but work at home on being able to hold the correct sight picture and holding on a small dot on the wall. Be able to pull the trigger without disrupting your sight alignment and sight picture.

For pure basics it's hard to beat a Highpower "clinic" if you can find one in your area. What they teach is all based around Highpower matches, but they sure do know their stuff when it comes to the basics. Besides - Highpower's not a bad way to practice anyway :D

Let us know what your goals are, and we'll be able to give some more specific drills.
