that sounds like a real bargain to me. enlisted military are still wonderfully underpaid and still risk their lives, or torture, or being maimed, or being treated poorly by their own country for less than minimum wage.

just the imagine the costs if we didn't have them.

Certainly much more than a "Peter Jennings' or others of the same ilk! As the father of three sons (one of which has fullfilled his obligation), they are priceless!

Priceless.

What it cost to 'make' a Marine is non-sequitor. The value-added of rough young people willing to lay their @$$ on the line for us is what matters.
