I hope He was attacked first and was defending himself. The first dude
looks like he's deceased the second guy was still going at it. It would
help to know where, who and why part.

A good older TrueTemper spade is a hell of a close quarters weapon. I use a flap disk on mine so they cut into soil much easier. Amazing how much easier it goes with a sharp edge.
He swung it and ka-wang'ed them, had he used the edge in an aimed thrust, those he contacted would likely not have much holding their heads to their shoulders. Granted, that was probably a dull cheap-assed $10 chinese shovel, and he likely was not intelligent enough to sharpen it.

Shovel neophyte. He was using the flat side.

White neighborhoods are boring!!

Much more excitement on the other side of the tracks
Huge tribal fights, gunfire, looting and police lights at night
Nothing like this has ever happened in the places Iíve live.

The only time you see a police car in my area is when they live there and drive their car home

Where I come from the shovel follows the shotgun. " Bring your shotgun, shovel and keep your mouth shut."

Hey bud general consensus is to use the acronym 'sss' shoot shovel shut up. ....but yer right:]...

Kind of funny watching them scatter and the sound of the shovel..the first guy got knocked out but I saw him move and someone seemed to help out...

My old German and east German flat spade trench tools have at least one sharp edge...for brush clearing...and they stay in the suv's....

In bed of all three trucks, including wifes is a shovel, set of posthole diggers and a six foot steel tamping rod with one end pointed for busting rock and other end has 2.5" round steel disk welded to them for packing posts. Even if packing for Colorado ski trip or family reunion, always stay in truck. Cannot count number of time a good entrenching kit has helped us or someone else.

Great use for packing bar is opening door quickly with no key. Had issue with a fallen and unconsious aunt behind locked door, one swift whack to deadbolt instantly opened door. Of course new door, deadbolt and knob were needed but were able to get her in truck and met ambulance about half way to hospital. Due to her living in a 2nd story garage apartment just breaking a window was not option.

Funny thing is how often this hillbilly from north Georgia had to dig a local from Colorado, Utah, Montanna, etc out of a ditch or just a hotel parking spot because they had no shovel in the minivan or car. Even when unable to wield my tools will still carry so if find some young buck to use, will have for him to swing.

And yes, I know the term "S, S, & S". I just used the full words. Actually had one circumstace where 3 months after married wife got 3 am call from friend saying just that and where he needed me. Luckily none were used but person causing issues was convinced that he needed to amend his plan of action. I thank God that the few times I had to actually draw a gun the other party(s) chose to change course of action in matter of milliseconds thus saving me from carrying that on my concious. Will not hestate to drop the hammer just prefer not to.

The Tutsi's and Hutus used machetes...............BECAUSE THEY HAD NO GUNS.
Kilt a million or more in Africa, they did.

Hammer attack in St Louis............. knives and gasoline on Channon Christian and Christian Alexander.......they will use anything handy to kill you...rocks, molotov cocktails, sticks, signs, bars, shovels, feet, hands........all learned in public schools.

Obama has fueled them up for the next decade................ to view the cops as evil and the whites as targets..........a low level guerilla war, is on now.

Yep, pretty much.

Which is then followed by a dull thud emanating from the wood/skull interface when you buttstroke your adversary.

Saw two Turkish TCN's in Mosul, Iraq preparing to mix it up with two of these somewhat medieval instruments.

Remember, the only difference between a "tool" and a "weapon", is intent.
