WHOA!!

That dude has a death wish. Tree trimmers make good money though. My FIL's neighbor paid close to $5k to have one tree taken out of his yard.

One of those jobs for guys with more balls than brains to bring in the cash, kinda like the guys who fix radio towers and replace light bulbs on skyscrapers.

He has no helper and was probably under orders to take the tree down.

Once he tops the tree, it will probably fall onto the wires, or the bobcat holding the lower ladder....the lower ladder is then gone.

He will then have to climb down the upper ladder to slide down the main trunk below the upper ladder.

After figuring a way to shove the upper ladder off its base capture bracket, that ladder will probably also hit the wires on the way down.

Once he looses his grip on the fat lower trunk, shimmying down, he will probably then fall onto the fallen wires himself.

Maybe Haney can lend an observation as to what kind of ladders he should be using.

I think that the guy was really pissed and did not think this thing through clearly..... it is obvious that he should have been wearing a hard hat to make it safe.

I don't know why you guys are bellyaching about his process. I mean, he has that top ladder securely tied off to the tree so it won't slip. You can clearly see the rope wrapped around the tree and tied to the ladder - - - just above where he is cutting.

Here is a link to another ladder with chainsaw vs tree endeavor. In this one the tree and the guy come down.

I like how the second Bobcat is 'shielding' the outbuilding.....much like Wile E. Coyote's umbrella.

gotta be a joke/altered photo

a set of climbing gear(spurs, belt) would be much easier and a whole helluva lot safer

when the tree gets topped the top ladder ain't gonna be real forgiving to the idiot if it is a real photo

It's not altered.

My friend, who runs a tree service, shared the photo of the guy doing it very WRONG!
