Ive driven a few and they are comfortable, didn't handle especially poorly and the interior feels like a airliner cockpit as far as lighted dials and buttons go. Never got to get any off road. Course i prefer my Disco for getting real dirty.

Not bad for a massively overloaded and underpowered Chevy Tahoe chassis.

Ditto.

However, the Tahoe is a better drive IMO.

I've heard that 2009 will be the last year for the H2. This was from the Hummer Guy web site http://www.hummerguy.net/. The H3 will be comming with a diesel engine soon.

I recently bought a H3. They say it and the H2 are underpowered. True it will not push you back in your seat much however they do get up and go.
They are good offroad also.

I love mine so far.

16MPG ain't the best but it is better than what most people think they get as far as gas milage goes.

Yuppish? Damn right and I love it!

The are dozens of Hummer web sites. Check them out Check out the Hummer community. Good folks there. The Hummer Club is another good one.

BTW: If an accessory has anything thing hummer on it, it is expensive!

Get the H2 but I would seriously look a th the H3.

There is an H3 truck coming out and they already have the H3 ALpha with a V8. I think there is a H2 Alpha also.

Very true John. Unfortunaly, they stopped production of them due to the over $100,000 price tag.

HUMVEEs are available. Check the Military Vehicle Magazine web site.

i never said i was wanting one, just who may be a "yuppie" and have one and what they thought of it.

sorry, gunnut, but an h3 looks like a jeep....

h1's are the underpowered ones, and what do they do for top end ?? 60 mph max.? seat, iirc 4, because of the console running the length inside between the seats...

we looked at them  and the h2's are VERY nice, heated front and rear seats to include your back, seperate rear stereo, roomy, and they ride oh so nice, (at least compared to my dually), nice bose stereo, and they do zip pretty well along.
gas mileage ? looking at them it looks about 14 mpg or just under, if someone were to afford an h2, they could afford to feed it.
don't like the mileage, buy something else........
and what makes a ford power choke pickup worth 50k and up ?
or a dodge dually with a cummins push 60k ?
we as americans, buy what we want for the most part, not what we need.......
a hummer to me is yes, a snob thing, wifes "dgg", as because of the price tag, it would never see dirt....it would mean, yeah, i work hard, and can afford one of these, just because.....
and a suburban........ gimme a break...... they look like school buses......aint no soccer mom thing goin on here......a suburban........yeah right ....
no turning radious, big, long, no ground clearance, and butt ugly....
style man, style.....

and looking at all the chrome upgrades, you could go broke, bling, blinging it...

That 22r is a great little injun. I miss my Toyota. I've been a Ford F-250 Powerstroke Diesel owner since 1999. Nary a day goes by that I don't want my old Toyota back. And, if diesel keeps going up, its going to be cheaper to quit work and stay home. I spent $150 today and didn't fill up my tank completely. That's just all the pump would allow me to have without going inside. I'm sorry, what were we talking about again? Hummers? Yeah, I'm all for 'em.
