Bullpup stock for FAL? Is there any .308 Bullpup?
Does anyone make a bullpup stock for the FAL? If not, why not?
Is there any such thing as any .308 Bullpup? |

I know of a couple of local guys here in Utah who are working on one. I think they want to keep it undercover until they can get a prototype. If I find anything out once R&D has finished I'll post.

Please let me know about it. I will buy and test a beta version if they want and give them a feedback review.

One company did make a bullpup M14. If I remember right someone on this board bought one. Can't remember who but a search might bring it up.

I just want an FN F2000. Finally a bullpup for southpaws or those that are inferior with no change needed.
It would seem obvious that a FAL bullpup would have to be para based and involve lots of barrel clamping for the moved trigger mechanism. I remain skeptical.

bullpups
Chuck1 -That was me. About 15 years ago a company out in AZ called AWACS built several versions of bullpupped M-14's on spec for DOD as a carry-weapon for the spotter on a sniper team. Idea was commanallity of ammo, etc. It didn't fly, but they sold a few on the civilian side to recoup costs maybe(?). I seem to recall total build was somewhat <100. Total out the door was around $2,000 if you sent them your M1A. The only major modification to the parts was on the operating rod, the cocking knob was shifted backward. Pretty neat to have a full-size M1A that less then 33" overall. By the way a lot of the people at AWACS all went on to bigger and better things. Bullpupped FALs would be really neat. And probably easier to do then on the M-14/1A series.

AWACS
Yeah, still have it. Had to get a little rework done the first time I shot it. Wouldn't chamber the 2nd round. Whatever was wrong was repaired by AWACS and I think I've probably put all of 50 rounds out of it since then... Thinking about having it done in one of the Teflon finishes just to make it bug proof. What kind of sighting system did you have on yours? I've put a couple of different(low power) scopes on mine, but I'm really starting to lean toward some sort of reflex/optic what with the forward mount on the barrel.

once the shop is in order I plan on buying a SAIGA .308 AK and converting it into a bullpup, and to take FAL mags.
We'll see how it turns out...

I was playing with one at SHOT, and played with the damn thing looking for the ejection port before finally breaking down and asking ![]() Too cool of a gun though, I wish they'd build a SA version over here.

Assuming that you can really find one, there's always the Kel-Tec RFB...
I know that I'm waiting on one... Forrest |

Arise, zombie thread, and do thy master's bidding!
A pre-war thread. I was still in my 20s! ETA: The Ace Stock owner showed me a metric FAL bullpup prototype back in 2004 or 2005 at SHOT. Very cool. I never saw anything about it again, though. Best, JBR

The Kel-Tec RFB is the only Production 308 bullpup. Uses FAL mags.

The bullpup M14 was the AWC G2. I had one and foolishly traded it for two new in box HK 630's with scope mounts.

Trigger placement
Seriously though,
How would a guy go about moving the fire control group forward? A Bullpup FAL would be awesome. |
