Extractor removal and installation-1 and 2 piece-tool work on both?

I'am getting some spare parts together for my Israeli HB and my STG58's and I want to make sure I know how to properly remove/install the extractors on both types. I've got a one piece extractor in the Israeli gun and a two piece in the STG58's. Is it hard to change the extractors without the special tool? Does that special tool work on both one piece and two piece extractors?

I have found that a large sloted screw driver works on the one piece
IZZY extractors. You lock the bolt in a padded vise and shove the blade of the screw driver in the extractor , just like it was the rim of a .308 and push back and up. It should slide out.

On the standard metric and inch extractor I juse a pin punch in a wood file handle.
But the custom made extractor tools look real slick, may get one one day.
