Unhappy FSE HTS working fine but problems with Bolt Hold-open

Hey guys, I installed a FSE HTS and Metric Brit L1A1 safety from GunThings.com on my Entreprise and it's firing every time I pull the trigger, I love it!

However, I am experiencing another problem. I have two-20rd mags and with both mags I usually have trouble. After chambering a round the first round will fire perfectly but often (4 out of 5 times) the next round won't chamber, it will get stuck and I have to take the mag out, put the round back into the mag and re-chamber it. Usually this happens about every two rounds and then the last 15 or so rounds will fire without any problems.

When I finish a mag and the bolt is open, I'll insert another clip and more than not after I push down the lever the round will not chamber, it will go about 1/3 of the way, I solve this by pulling all the way back on the bolt and let it go and it chambers. About two times the round got stripped in the front part, mostly on the bullet itself, but a little on the case.

A couple of times I would insert a new mag (while the bolt is open) and push down the lever and it wouldn't close, but when I tilted the gun downards it then closed.

One time I inserted a new mag and the bolt closed and chambered the round automatically without me pushing the lever.

Do you think my problem is with my Entreprise Lower or the Kit or something else? I'm using surplus Portugese Ammo that Hellion Productions was kind enough to sell me.

Also, Congradulations to John for his newborn son!

Have you tried to fire the rifle with the gas regulator all the way shut.

Have you polished the bottom of the receiver feed lips?

Check recoil springs for over lubrication/function, also make sure bolt/bolt carrier moves freely with no binding or rough spots.

Hi Court, no I haven't yet, looks like that is Gas Setting 1. I'll go out tommorow morning and try that out and let you know.

elbo - Have you polished the bottom of the receiver feed lips?

No I haven't, what do you mean by polish specifically?

mrbonecrusher - Check recoil springs for over lubrication/function, also make sure bolt/bolt carrier moves freely with no binding or rough spots.

If anything I may need to add more lube, I'll freshly lube it up before I fire it with the gas regulator all the way shut like Court recommends.
