Help With Buttstock ID & Selection

I noticed when assembling my Imbel that the contour of the lower receiver and the buttstock don't match up exactly where the two meet. Didn't think much of it at the time and just built it.

Imbel lower is a type three and I'm using the plastic hump-back buttstock that came with the kit.

Working on a G1 now. G1 was sent with a replacement buttstock that appears to be the STG style (no hump). G1 lower receiver is type one. Also noticed on these parts that the buttstock and lower receiver contours don't match.

When I take my Imbel buttstock and place it on the G1 lower, the contours match perfectly. The same is true when the STG style buttstock is placed on my Imbel lower.

I'm just curious, but I thought Imbels were only produced with type three lowers, but my Imbel buttstock seems to be made to match the contour of a type one (or two?) lower receiver.

Do type specific buttstocks exist for Imbel rifles? Other variants as well?

Anyone know how the Israeli light barrel wood stock (with stock band) fits on a G1? Will the G1 butt plate fit on this stock? I'm thinking of replacing the plastic STG style stock with a wood stock for a more authentic appearance.

Thanks.
