Wanted: Headspace tools
I'm looking to rent or buy cheap the headspace tools I need to finish my build.
I had a line on a set, but the guy fell off the planet. Anyone got a set they'll rent/loan/etc? Alternately, I'd be interested in buying used tools, if they're affordable. I'm really looking for the Clymer GO and either a pin set or one of the headspace rod sets. I figure I can wait on the Clymer FIELD until later, since I'll be headspacing as tight as I can and still fit the Clymer GO. ~Wolfrick

I'll loan you my stuff for the cost of shipping. I have Forester go and nogo, as well as the even sized pin gauges. Skipping the odds isn't a problem really. If it closes easily on the even sized pin, and won't close on the next even sized pin (or is very, very tight), then you know you'd be dead nuts with the odd that you skipped.
The Forester gauges aren't the same length as the Clymer's, but that's a simple matter to correct for. Shoot me an email and we'll make arrangements. Byron |

Where does this guy live, maybe other members here that live close to him.
Another thought, this guy could have been called to active duty......... Last edited by john dillenger; October 08, 2003 at 00:42. |

His profile says Dallas. No state, could be in Texas or ???
Also no way of knowing if he told the truth. Maybe he's in New York for all we know. Good luck, it sure sucks trying to help and getting slapped in return. Maybe this guy's just asleep. --Radio |

Nah, I ping on him from time to time via email. Yes, Texas. I'll ping on him again before we release the hounds.

Something isn't right about that. I checked his profile and did a post search and the last time he posted was August 8th. Sorry for your loss and. It's sad to see dishonest people that take advantage of you.

He's an administrator of another firearms related board. He's around. I'll "out" him if I don't get results quickly.

Amazing. It took the threat of "outting" him to get the stuff back.

I dunno. Probably doesn't even hang out here anymore. Unless he changed his name. I had emailed him with a little extra heat, and also contacted the head cheese on the other forum where he is an admin. Don't matter to me what lit the fire, just so I have my stuff back. Now I can see if my TRW bolt headspaces on the ol'e M1A. Not sure why people are so shit-house crazy over TRW bolts, but if it's something I'm supposed to brag about, far be it for me to keep my fat trap shut.
