Go to gun boards.com. Old Duke was running a survey on the rifle.
Value runs from 350.00 to 400.00 |

Dean, with all due respect I believe that your value estimate is low.
These rifles can easily run into the high 600.00 range. If you can find a really nice speciman with a matching # bayonet you can name your price. I was looking at one today at a show that was receiving a lot of attention, it was probably 90-92% with no bayo and it was priced at 575.00. I have one that is 100% with a matching # bayo and I wouldn't consider selling it for less the 700.00. Just a thought from the other side of the coin!

did all rifles have the crest inset on the left side of stock??
i dont think this one did, cant remember for sure. the one i am looking at is 575.00,just the rifle.it is 98-99 percent. it has exactly three dings....two in the paint and one on the butt. each the size of a lentil. everything else looks like it came off the cover of a gun's n ammo surplus annual.

I have one I bought about 3 years ago that I paid 400.00 for and it is like new. I found an excellent unused bayonet that I paid 100.00 for. My stock has the decal removed. Really a fine shooting gun. I like the sight set up. Never seen a sight system like it before. A peep rear sight that sits in front of the reciever, with a peep front sight. When looking through it it seems like you only have the one circle to look through. A very good double stage military trigger.

A few gun show dealers will ask that much, but getting that price is hard around here. One walked the floor here at a recent show for 450.00 with no takers. It is a oddity of sort without many takers. For me, I have a better use for my money.

I have a friend who just sold his 98% Madsen for $350. He started at $400 but had no takers.
