Locking Shoulder, please check my math...
FAC "Coonan" receiver
Forster .230 GO gauge. hard with .269 pin really hard with .270 pin, but still "two thumb" pressure. Then subtract .002 to pretend I have a .232 gauge and add .001 for set back, .270 - .002 + .001 = .269 So I need a .269 locking shoulder. Right? Thanks! |

That depends how hard "hard" is. Without getting into a fight about 2 thumbs vs. no thumbs I think you are probably a bit on the snug side. How does it do when you try to close the bolt/carrier by holding onto the rat tail with your thumb and index finger only?

It wouldnt close on a .270 by just pushing on the rat tail.

I hope you keep track of your numbers better than you post them. A .278" LS will not work at all! And the Forster go-guage is 1.630" not .230????
