Parkerizing Question
I checked the FAQs and I am still a little confused. Which would be better (1) Get instructions and chemicals from Brownell's or (2) Get one of the Home Parkerizing Kits? I have a stainless steel pan with lids and a small steam table with a thermostat-barrel will fit diagonally. Found this in a dumpster! Had a good bit of Chemistry too. FAQs are a bit vague and I was starting to go blind searching posts.

You can't go wrong with Brownells.

Wild Bill,
You might find some useful info at my Parkerizing and refinishing forum. Relatively new and not much traffic, but there are some good posts there. Best of all; You don't need to use the search function! Actually, I'm surprised that more people don't use it. I built it for my fellow FALoholics! The Park Forum |

Get the chemicals from Brownells and follow their instructions. Easy as eatin' pancakes.

The Brownell's solution is darn near foolproof. I used it successfully.

I've used both the Brownell's and Palmetto. Both work well, the Palmetto is easier to use.

I have had good enough results with Brownells (both zinc and manganese) that I never felt the need to try anything else.

Thanks Guys, looks like Brownell's is the way I will go!
