Parts Question
I know we have to replace parts with American parts, But the Plastic furniture, if the old is not marked made in so and so how does anyone tell where it was made, same for other parts that are not marked, what do you do save the receipts to prove that the supplier sold parts that they clam were made in the US.

I am not sure where the burden of proof would lie, but assume it would be with the accuser...?
In any case, any way that you can simplify the proof process, do it. Receipts are a good thing to keep, but certainly are not conclusive except to prove that a transaction has been made. There is no way to attach a given part to a receipt. If a conflict of proof ever came up, I am sure all USA parts can be identified. I have always had the greatest respect for companies, like FSE, that are confident enough in their parts to make them identifiable and proudly place their logo and 'made in USA' on them. If a choice is possible, buy from this type of company and always keep a receipt on file. When making a transaction from another FALmate, negotiate a receipt in the deal...... .02cts worth, orca |
