AIM 91/30 Range Report
Finaly got to shoot it after waiting for about two weeks due to HHHAAAAAAARRRRRRMMMYYYYYY training. Fired some of the surplus Yugo ammo that I bought several months ago (also from AIM). First three shots at 50yds were about two inches right of center mass on a 10" paper plate. Three rounds clustered into about a two inch circle. Drifted the front sight and moved the target to 100yds. Fired five rounds into about a three inch cirle that hit center mass on the paper plate. I'm impressed! My shots opened up after that because of my flinching. That skinny stock hurts after a while. Burned some more ammo making the 200 meter gong sing. I also shot my Finish M39 Sako. I'm very pleased to see they both are running bout neck and neck in the accuracy department. Lastly, fired the old G1. Still shoots better w/o the flash suppressor, but looks too cool to take it off. For anyone thinking about buying one of those 91/30s, I recommend jumping on one. I was not dissappointed.

Thanks for the report. What year is yours? Mine's a 1943, the rifle is beautiful and the stock is really nice as well, with the arsenal repairs looking well done. The only bad part is that since it was a wartime production rifle, the left side of the receiver looks more hewn than machined, but overall it's a nice piece to put in the collection.
I won't be able to shoot mine until after the New Year most likely, I'm hoping to take out the K-31 at the same time.

Mine is a 1943 too. Looks like someone with a dull knife whittled the receiver out of a block of steel. The bolt is really nice, smooth and bright. At any rate is shoots really well. The wood is poorly finished, but not a ding that I can find anywhere.

It sounds like a sibling to mine, although I kind of like the finish on this rifle, it feels almost waxy.
