WECSOG on a new Tapco III Mount???

OK,

I kept missing Tapco's Gen III mounts, So I bought the chinese junk model. It was ok, but I was never happy. I saw a NIW Tapco gen III mount and jumped all over it. Beautiful and slid right on no problems....

Until I went to put my TA01 ACOG on it....

The damn slots on the mount and the scope base dont line up. I went and looked at the chinese mount and it has different slot spacing from the TAPCO......

I dont know if my trijicon base is STANAG or Weaver, as they are unmarked.

And I dont know if the Chinese (and all my other AR screw on rails) are STANAG/WEAVER combined. But the scope mount fits all except the TAPCO....

Not to worry, the dremel is waiting to open up one slot to accept the mount, but I just cant figure out why. I wouldnt know a STANAG if it stole my car, but I am figuring that has got to have something to do with it....

Am I way off base and its something simple or am I guessing in the right direction?

Thanks for any help....
