Steyr 1895 carbine mag?

Received my Steyr 1895 carbine in the wrapper from Century Wow, what a cool rifle with a straight pull bolt and light weight, in very good conditinon. Is there a clip that inserts into the mag well? Any info would be apreciated. Thanks in advance.

The ammo comes on clips, kinda like Carcano style, only slanted.

What K. Funk said is correct. Most of the time you will find ammo in the en-block "clip". The ammo is a tapered case, and because of the rimmed cart. and angle of the case, the cartridges sit at a descending and changing angle. The boxes are a strange triangular shape sort of, and are very distinctive. The ammo is getting very hard to find, and getting expensive. Aim has had some in the past, but your best bet is gun shows. I have about 200 rounds for mine, but have never shot it. I am told it kicks very hard, so hang on.

Go to Sportsman Guide and order all the 8x56R ammo you can afford. It comes on the en-bloc clips. Nazi marked, late 30's headstamped. Very cool and the best buy going on ammo for the M95.
