Use a tin can shaped grinding stone and take away the metal from the inside of the receivers dust cover rail that is keeping the dust covers ear tabs from going forward. Do NOT remove the dust covers ear tabs.

The cover stays at the rear of the receiver and only goes in at the back enough to close the upper and lower together.

Sounds simple enough. Last part for my first build, I'm almost there. Thanx L/FN!

Thanx for the visual.
I'm assuming I need just enough clearance, for the topcover tabs, to keep the cover from moving forward.
Once again thanx for everyones help.

Also of note

Take a little material off at a time, don't take to much off. If the back of the cover does not align with the back of the receiver the stripper clip slot will not align with the mag very well and a gap will be visible when mated up with the lower.
