Anyone with a G1 kit.

Do the vent holes in your gas tube sit on the top when pinned in or the bottom? An Imbel kit I have has the holes sitting on the bottom. I install the tube the same for both rifles. Screw it in as far as it will go and then back it off just enough to place the pin properly. In doing so I get the above results with holes on top(imbel) and holes on bottom (G1). Does anyone think this would affect performance ?

It doesn't matter. The "official" way is to install the gas tube with the vent holes down.
