Yeah, seemed like Otis missed a couple on the 175, 300 and then 5/5 on the 400 and 500yd plate, for his long range Irons run. So awesome to be there and actually see it happen.

And before anybody says anything I did not cheat on my own score. There were witness's.

Edit: I might be projecting a little. I guess I'm the one that would think that.

I wasn't saying look at other people's scores. I was saying look at the other times I posted in other events.

Can't win 'em all.

And the official story about the Drop 15 is that I just couldn't see the targets. I was shooting for wind and dust to try and get a silhouette.

When I shot it again with the AR, I had a Type 3 malfunction and had to drop the mag, finger-bang the two cases out of the chamber and gas tube, and then start shooting again. Plus the one target that needed five hits to go down. Just bad luck I guess.

Yeah! I was waiting to see you post those up. Pretty cool!

And we were talking after this weekend and all the event, and I *love* this event of yours - and the ability to do the 'shooter's choice' thing for both irons and optics.

"How we burned in the prison camps later thinking: what would things have been like if every security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if during periods of mass arrests people had simply not sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, ham- mers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand. . . . The Organs [police] would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers . . . and notwithstanding all of Stalin‘s thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt." - A. Solzhenitsyn, Gulag Archipelago

+1 on the great pics! The boy loved seeing his hold, for the king shot.
I thought I was the only one that ran a shotgun and it was slugs...

Looks like another fantastic Oregon FAL shoot. We're gonna do our best to participate next year (2020). Our family has grown some since last the last time I was there. I sure miss all of you guys!

p.s. We'll do what we use to do and have Ernst Armory offer a prize to the top FAL shooter.
