California Kills Ammo Availability

This came from a Kenyafornia member of a F-Book group. Apparently, under the new law an ammo retailer must be licensed as such and they are in no big hurry to issue the licenses. Any boots on the ground in CA want to chime in with a SITREP in your AO?

Point that mob in the direction of crapramento .

Burn the Capitol and all offices to the ground with all in attendance.

I'll supply the fuel!!!

Have 150 gallons of diesel and 300 gallons of unleaded gasoline.

Neato pictures and a lot of talk but no one will do anything.
How many other states are going to follow suite after this California victory?

Just leave. It's that easy.

The usual suspects, if that.

Yes, it IS that easy.

If it isn't, then the party in question, failed long before this new law came about.

Edit: You're right, its someone else's fault. Anyone who attempts to leave will be instantly denied oxygen.

Thus they are truly trapped.

They will find zero food, shelter, or sustainable atmosphere beyond their current 'border'.

And if they make it, beyond all those obstacles, there is ABSOLUTELY ZERO financial or economic opportunities beyond California.

Only a desolate wasteland, nothing more.

Interesting .... over the years I took a case or two of 9x18 and 7.62x25 to friends in the PRK. Looks like a network of "importers" from free states will have to take in deliveries for friends and family or a lot of weekend "vacationers" from the PRK to Nevada and Oregon.

To make it really work requires check stations at border crossings, of course.

Anyone not seeing this coming hasn't been paying attention.

And, although theoretically 'banned' for use against American citizens, there are a number of 'new' technologies that can be used without making it all that obvious. Of course, with the large numbers of illegals, you could probably attempt to justify the use of such technologies anyway, you know...

It is easy once you make your mind up to do it. I was born in Upstate New York. lord what an error in judgement that was, I escaped from there to Illinois (what a ghastly mistake that was also) until I finally made it to FREEDOM in SW MO. Maybe not perfect but things will improve when we get rid of Clare.
It just takes the desire and determination to LEAVE! The rest of the country is really not a wasteland.

A "wish" is not a plan but a choice.

I lived in California with a wife and two kids. I had a grateful job with excellent benefits.
I was in Stockton when Patrick Purdy shot up the school yard. I was in the Capitol and watched them vote on the nation'so first statewide assault weapon ban.

We sold our house, quit my job and LEFT. We moved to the mountains in Washington with no job lined up. It took me nearly a year to get full time work.
My parents said I was being irresponsible to leave a job with retirement. Her parents said I had no right to take their daughter and grandkids so far away.

It was hard but it was well worth it to leave and we are still glad we did i although we left WA 7 years later.

Unless you are incarcerated or on parole it is your choice to stay or leave. Sure there are reasons that make it easier to stay like ailing parents or child custody orders but they're not barriers, just obstacles.

Just to be clear, I'm talking about the Arizona, Nevada and Oregon borders, of course...

Well, California can't seem to control the flow of drugs and illegal aliens so what makes them think they can control the flow of ammunition? Getting up to speed on this is a wakeup call to the seriousness of the problem of gerrymandered districts that keep San Francisco and Hollywood in absolute power over an enormous and once prosperous state. Why can't this problem be dealt with?

Simple, they don't WANT to control the flow of drugs or illegals.

See how quickly they screw it down when they actually want to stop something. Like ammunition.

Thought:
Why doesn't Californie just declare the Second Amendment null and void within their borders?

They've already shown they don't care one shit about Federal Laws they disagree with, so why not just continue? Show us all where you REALLY stand there, Moonbeam.

Custody orders and ill family come to mind as being things worth sacrificing for. There isn't a firearm in this world that would move me a thousand miles from my kids.

First recreational marijuana shops open in California

https://www.mercurynews.com/2018/01/...in-california/

And so it begins ...

A new smuggling enterprise is needed now ... ammo!

How ironic that recreational pot smoking at home becomes legal the same day a guy can no longer have ammo shipped there.

Daffy Duck Visits Backwardland.

Maybe there is solace in the fact that ammo is not yet taxed at 50%...only 11% as per usual, via Pittmann-Robertson.

California already has inspection stations at the border for cars and trucks. Truckers call them "bug stations" but they could inspect for anything I guess. California has ignored the 2nd amendment for a long time so I'm sure they would have no trouble what so ever in ignoring the 4th also. Or any other of those pesky amendments they find troublesome.

I have long wondered why the antigungods have not jacked the price of an FFL from $50/year (I think it was $10 when I had one) to $1000 ... $5000 ... or whatever. Legal gun commerce would drop to near zero. California is being innovative ... require a license but don't issue any.

My guess is that much like what happened during the so called AWB most folks
will simply acquiesce and go along to get along. This is what the death by a
thousand cuts looks like. Almost any major urban area will potentially have this happen in the near future. So the ones that comply will be the ones that
get the confiscation notices first.

Boots on the ground update:

Was at big5 in town and they didn't have the caliber I wanted ( 44 special fmj ) but according to an employee that was working the counter said that the law goes into effect July 2019 and there aren't any restrictions on ammo sales at this time.

Wrong, the law becomes much more strict in 2019, when citizens will be required to go through a background check (and fees) to purchase ammunition.

Just so I'm clear, California legalizes illegal immigration and marijuana but basically bans or hinders ammo sales which is necessary to exercise the 2nd Amendment, all while being weak on crime and exporting glorified pornography and violence through their robust entertainment industry, and this falls under the guise of public safety?

Southern California is broken and cannot be fixed- Northern California, though still has a shot and should separate to become the 51st state. This would fix the electoral college votes and make it somewhat more representative of the people in that region, even if it was only a 10-20 EC vote change. California has become a political tyrant and has to much influence over the nation- much like New York.

Any time government implements a ban on a product people want, a blackmarket develops pretty darn quick. If there is money to be made, someone... maybe a lot of someones... will be bringing in some ammo. Networks will materialize and word passed as to whats available. Maybe some friends will make an ammo run out of state.
