Anybody Interested in Owning a 32’ Sailboat?

I might consider selling my 1985 32’ Gulf - Full Keel Sailboat?

PM me if seriously interested. I haven’t been super-serious, but if a fair price was offered?...just kind of considering it...

I sold my 36' a few years ago. It was one the happiest, and one of the most sad days of my life. Someday I may own another one.

Been shopping for one in Puget sound for the last few days. Can't cover the cost of entry, only the moorage fees, so I am out...

Guess you have come to realize the 2 greatest days in a sailboat owner's life... Good luck on day 2!

Thought about it some time back. One can often buy sailboats on the cheap around Duluth MN & Superior WI. Was offered one that was a one owner boat, 28' with inboard diesel that had been in the water twice. The widow was sick of paying storage fees, wanted to give it to me. Nice full keel boat, trailer, stored indoors. Perfect shape.

After thinking a bit I came to the conclusion I'd likely end up drowning in Lake Superior. That's a just nasty ole body of water and more dangerous than Blue Water sailing when I started talking to seasoned sailors.

Ton of sailboats along the north shore there
thing is you have MAYBE four months of Lake use before the fall storms start up.

There is one in Seward for a whopping $40k. Good boats but long in the tooth. Must be a short season up there but beautiful in summer. Is the core wet?

Owning and operating boats requires a much greater time and money commitment than owning firearms. AMHIK. More boats for sale in my AO than prospective boat owners.

I want a 35 footer to do the great loop in. Ideally one that was demasted by a storm or on the hard that way. Plan to gut the engine and upgrade that and put on a shortened mast for the loop.

Then later, find a 40 footer to go adventuring on. Again, as a near complete refit.

There seem to be a lot of $20k boats that need minor work available.
