I would look for someone who sells safes. Just a thought. Oh, and check out the locksmiths, they sometimes have great deals.

That is easy!

Liberty Safes has an outlet just south of you in American Fork just off I-15 (east side) ... you can get a good deal for a "blemished" safe (I bought two and can't even see the so called "blemish" ... might be a scratch on the back or side of the safe). They deliver free within 50 mile radius and for a small price will drill and anchor your safe in concrete floor.

Further south in Springville you can get a Champion or Superior safe from their outlet (similar deal I think).

Safe Factory Outlet Utah, LLC
380 E. 620 S. Ste E
American Fork, UT 84003
801-756-7977 or 866-757-7977

Monday-Friday - 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Saturday - 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Did you slide on the wood floor? Or just fall down?

I don't see why they should charge you to anchor. It takes every bit of 5 minutes on a slab.

The scratch and dent Liberty outlet sounds ideal. I've got a Liberty safe and have been happy with it. Here's some conclusions I came up with when I was shopping around:

1. Shop around. Prices for safes vary quite a bit.
2. Get as big of a safe as you can. Trust me -- there will be a time when you wish it is bigger.
3. Make sure you know exactly what 'free delivery' is. Is it delivery to the spot in your house where you want it (e.g., the basement), or does it mean they drop ship it on the curb in front of your house? Friends don't ask friends to help them move a safe.
4. Measure all the doorways, hallways, etc. that the safe is going to have to fit through. I damn near bought one that wouldn't fit through my basement door.
5. Don't get obsessive about fire ratings. It's just a lining off dry wall. If your house burns to the ground, no amount of fire proofing is going to save the contents.
6. Be cognizant about who you are protecting your stuff from. A professional thief can break into almost any safe, but those guys aren't interested in your gun collection. It's kids and drug addicts. So you want it to be more than just a sheet metal safe like you find at Dicks, but you really don't need a 1" steel plate like you see at a jewelry store.

The liberty safe outlet has/had some great deals, that’s where I got mine.

Do realize that National Safes, Liberty Safes, and Fort Knox Safes are all made in Utah. And all are located about an hour south of Salt Lake City, which for those in Utah is a short drive.

Sturdy Safe will deliver to your door wherever you live. I bought the "most popular" 36"w x 27"d x 60" tall model.

What I like most about Sturdy Safe is the amount of customization they can perform. For instance, "Most popular" is a signficant upgrade to the thickness of steel offered in the "standard" package, and those are only two of the six packages. I also got the 2300 degree fire liner, dri rod, key-in-dial.

"Sturdy Safe..."

Bought their 28-gun model in 1989. I am lucky enough to live less than 30 miles from the business. I always recommend a "local" supplier in your own area whenever possible because there may be custom options and/or other considerations over and above the savings on shipping costs. And you get to check out the product. PS: very happy with my Sturdy Safe.
