HK woodland camo finish durability?

How durable is the factory “woodland camo” finish on the few hundred HK 91 and 93 rifles that came in in 1987-88? I seem to recall someone saying that it would nearly wipe off after a period of time? I’d assume the same would be true (or not) with the desert camo guns. Any info is appreciated.

It's floor paint. Done by some company in Florida, if I remember correctly. NOT done by HK. It's one of those "this is shit, but it is collectable shit" moments.

Thanks for the info GP! Very happy to be aware of that fact before spending serious coin.
