I just want to let everyone know my search for a true gunsmith has ended. You'll understand what I mean by "true" in a moment.

I bought a barrel that 187 had cut done to 16.25" and had threaded the end for a brake. I mailed him a brake I supplied for him to solder and repark afterwards. Let me just say his work is nothing short of outstanding!

Apparently the brake I sent him had some machining flaws that I was unaware of. He corrected the problem at no charge and without asking me first. That's what I call dedication and customer service. He easily could have soldered the thing on and shipped it back without me knowing any different.

The parking on all the parts is fabulous. Nice and even, no flaws at all anywhere. Thanks to 187, this rifle will be a jewell once built. BTW it's going to be an Izzy carbine clone.

Glenn only lives an hour away from me. I decided to drive to his house to get three of my guns refinished. We worked on them all day and they came out great. I would highly recommend his services if you need anything done to your FAL.
