Ejector block

I noticed on my DSA FAL that the half moon tab on the top of the ejector block broke off. Is the rifle safe to shoot? What will happen(or not happen)if it is fired in this condition?

If you are talking about the ejector it self then yes you will have problems trying to fire it.The ejector is what knocks the spent case out of the extractor claw on your bolt when you fire the weapon. http://www.dsarms.com/p-11436-fal-sa...ece-block.aspx http://www.dsarms.com/p-12757-fal-sa...iece-type.aspx

How long have you had the receiver? number of rnds fired? any steel cases?
IIRC DSA was having QC problems with their american cast parts breaking. I would ask for a replacement- AND instal, as ejector blocks need to be in the right place.
I have never swapped one out. Mabey others will give ya a" how to". Its one of the ONLY things I have not done with these rifles.

The last time ya shot it, did you notice anything different?
Have you found the broken peice down in your FCG yet?

Good luck

Have shot about 1000 rounds through it. It was a one piece ejector. Gpiece from he dealer Wharehouse. It is a bear to fit. Does anyone know the dimensions of the two block retaining pins?

Not right off, but don't you have a piece of the old pins you can measure?

Getting the length is no problem, but as far as the diameter is concerned, I would like to be as accurate as possible.

Can you post a pic of this? A broken FAL ejector seems like a pretty uncommon occurrence and I'm curious where it broke off.

How did you remove the pins from the broken ejector block?

If he indeed just broke the ejector, then he probably only needs the ejector and not the block if has the two piece designed block. If he has the one piece ejector block, then he will need new Metric version pins ( the ones linked above, I believe, are Inch versions) and a new ejector block.

ETA: I will remove the above link.

I have FA e-blocks, with safety sear and pins - $25/set or 10 for $150.
