newest Colt

I just took a short little motorcycle ride and picked up this Colt 1911 Government Model, made in 1954 according to Proofhouse.com:





Looking pretty good for a 59 year old gun - better then I looked at 59!

That is a beaut! What would something like that set someone back? I keep going back & forth b/w a Brand new 70 series or one older along these lines. I bet the smile on your face on the ride home must have been a Kodak Moment.

Wow. That was a great buy. Listed locally I assume at some shop? Any suggestions on a falfiles type site for 1911's since GB pricing for something like this is 1400-2k
