Magpul To Pull Out Of Colorado

Today second reading with amendments in the House vote takes place on the four gun bills railroaded earlier this week.

Magpul announced if the magazine ban is passed they will close their operations in Erie, Colorado.

According to the Denver Post, friggin' House libs are pushing the bans, but want Magpul to remain in CO. Oh, the irony.

I am watching the proceedings today, as I type they are in recess. The Dems got the fear put into them about Magpul and introduced an amendment to the magazine capacity bill to exempt manufacturers like Magpul to the restrictions. The main garbage with their amendment is Coloradan's will not be able to buy their product in our state. Typical foolishness.
OoooRaaa Magpul!

LIve Proceedings: http://www.coloradochannel.net/color...slative-day-38

Second readings of proposed gun bills.
Update:

They also ante'd up the round capacity to 15. Nice of them.

Update:

Anyway, another representative stated that Magpul will not accept any mandate on restricting purchases of their products in this state. They will leave if any attempt is passed. I feel for the town of Erie if that happens, close to a 1000 jobs including subcontractors plus taxes in the balance.

Update:

Now the Colorado DemoRats just introduced another amendment to their own capacity bill allowing members of the Armed Forces and their spouses to be exempt of the bill under debate. So I guess my neighbor if enlisted can bring home what he wants. You just can't make this stuff up anymore.

Amended magazine ban passed by Rats on second reading. Still has several steps before becoming law, not sure if Magpul will wait out their decision.

Update:
After short debate showing the discriminatory aspects the military exemption amendment was withdrawn by the Dems.

At least one Democrat representing a rural district is speaking against the bill.

Update:
HB13-1229 now under debate with several amendments offered to clarify questionable elements.

I just wrote Hickenpooper and told him that I will not consider moving to his state nor spend my vacation dollars in it should this bill pass.

Tet was about 5 days ago, and just as predicted the Communists attacked in full force during Tet.

Tet is suppose to be a time of year that is an undeclared cease fire, a time of peace to spend with family and friends.

The Easter Offensive will be coming next.

Colorado will Fall, so will Oregon, Missouri, and Washington.

Deja Vue? Dam where have I seen all this before?

We thank you! Also remember that Denver has maintained an AWB for several years now, so even if the bill fails stay out of Denver.

Nope they are using the cheap vote of yelling Aye or Nay, even though the Nays sound lounder to me the chair says it passed. Cheeeeet, I am not sure on second reading if it matters. I would hope on Third reading and any additional amendments or withdrawals then Up/Down.

If it passes the House then on to the Senate.

You can watch these proceedings live here:

Update from Post Toastie:

"I'm listening to the Republican house leader on the radio right now. He says it passed a voice vote today ("second vote") which is not binding. It will go to a recorded vote on Monday ("third vote") which if passed, would send it to the senate."

Sounds like Monday is the day.

Denver is the most overrated city on Earth - I have been through many times and still can't find anything about it I like other than the mountains are about 20 miles west. Much prefer CO Springs.

You got that right! Because of their stance and some other things I avoid any commerce or travel there and stick with the surroundings cities. Even then most of them are "home rule" even Aurora. I will have to look up Co Springs to see how they are classifiied.

Correct. The House has 37 Dems and 28 Rep. At least there's a chance down the road (2014) to give them 1994 medicine. There are a lot of new gun owners and still climbing. CBI is 3 days or less behind on gun checks.

I watched most of it today via streaming. The woman who wrote the mag ban bill is a biased tool. Sadly her son died at Columbine...Ok sorry that happened so now she feels she has the inside mindset to know what is best for the rest of the state.

This voice vote was pure bull shit.

I moved here from Virginia in 92 and things have changed quite a bit since then. Now retired but wife is younger and still has a few years on her job, not sure what we want to do down the road. Maybe the Dakotas or Wyoming if we left this state.

For now it looks like the whole country is under assault on this issue to varying degrees. Just the same I am not going to throw up my hands and make it easier for them. Hoping there will be a 1994 payback starting in 2014.

Unfortunately their brains are cross-wired so they think they can have it both ways. Some of them don't care if Magpul leaves as well. Burris optics plant is here but nothing in legislation affects them.

Will see if this all politically backfires on them and starts a cleanout process.

Actually her son & his girlfriend were murdered in a gang hit to silence them as witnesses at a murder trial. His mom is like Tom Mauser, whose kid was killed at Columbine. They both are on a mission to ban ALL guns from EVERYONE.

Sadly, she is my state rep, so calling her is useless.

Not only is Magpul leaving if this commie bill passes but one of their biggest sub-contractors said today they will also pack up and move out of CO if this passes. They were planning a 15,000 sq ft expansion but they said that is on hold now as they may just build in another State.

F**k them demorats

So what would you suggest they do? Vote? Haaaaaaa......you're kidding right.
When the Dems can't pay the bills because they have run off everyone that
pays taxes and there are no jobs, THEN sanity might return. Until then a civil
war would would fix it.

I hope Magpul moves to Texas. For the life of me I don't understand why
Rock River, Armalite, DSA, Springfield Armory, M&A and many others stay
in Illinoise.

You can put Buckner on the loser list, he's our mutt in Aurora and doesn't respond, if you get a call back it's from one of his little girls.

I've written most of the others on your list but no response back which is somewhat understandable considering they were in session all day.

you are completely wrong. There is nothing you can do to save these heavily Democrat states, much less restore them. All you are doing by staying there is supporting the bottom feeders who these politicians need to vote for them. By moving to a free state (and there are plenty) you strengthen what is already there and make it even more difficult for Democrats to steal freedom.
