Can Aliens Possess a Rifle for Hunting?

More specifically, the South Korean college student who is living with us this year wants to go hunting. He only has a student visa. (He was a ROK Marine, by the way, and is quite familiar with small arms).

Does anyone know if he can possess a rifle for hunting? If not, how about a compound bow?

If he buys a hunting license, he can use that to buy a rifle I believe.

I already have a rifle he can use. I just need to know from some of you aliens who've been there, done that, if he can legally carry a rifle to hunt.

Most aliens I've seen opt for lasers or EMP based weapons, but I don't see any reason why they couldn't shoot a rifle.

Oh, you meant a person form another country. Korean you say? What are you hunting, dogs or cats?

I've never seen a DNR officer ask anyone to show them their passport or immigration papers, it might even be illegal just like it is for police officers to do that.
