Smile Ryan, Voting for TARP Bailout to save the "Free Market"

Anytime a "conservative" starts off a speech by blowing a kiss to Bwarney Frank, you know it is going to be good.

He was also a big supporter of the Bush 'budget' and subsequent debt disaster.

Alternatively he's just calling it as he sees it.
Personally I like all the facts not just the ones that suit my preconceptions.

I Report.... you Deride.

So what do you got against Ryan publicly blowing a soft, warm breeze up Bwarney Frank's skirt?
Don't you believe in love, bipartisanship, and "getting stuff done".

It's not only ryan that is bought by the banks juanni.

I hate to say it but looks like mittens is the only one who has not voted to bail out the banks...technically, except for RP of course. I do think mittens is bought by the central bank and will bow to them just like the rest.

Here we go again...................I hope we get 4 more years of
the 'Obahhmaa Prophecies' I'm ready, are YOU! Good luck. I might
even vote for him, since he apparently is better than Mitt right.
He hasn't enacted any anti gun legislation, right?

Hell even the NRA could extend their support for Hairy Reed to Obama.
They supported John McCain and he actually tried to stop gun shows
and silence the NRA!

I appreciate the info and insight.

Regardless, your choices are to vote R or D, don't vote or write in a candidate. There are no other viable alternatives. If your OK with Obama, Biden, Holder et al, vote for them or protest by not participating or writing in Ron Paul or whomever.

We as conservatives lack national leadership as well as fortitude. I understand the arguement is that Romney/Ryan and Obama/Biden are exactly the same but they are not.

Again, what is the alternative? Is there a plan to put in a true conservative at the national level? The answer to both is NA.

Your vote doesn't matter if the candidate doesn't represent your interests.
Neither Obama or Romney does unless you are very wealthy, a banker or a mega receiver of govt largess.

Sure you help elect someone that may win, but they know they didn't do anything to earn your vote and they certainly aren't going to do anything to keep your vote next election cycle.

The alternative is the support candidates that do represent your interests and yes they probably won't win this election but if enough people do so eventually they will.

So long as they have you sold on only the outcome of the current election, we will never get decent candidates from the repub or demo establishments.

We are not going to get control of DC, or lose weight, get healthy or build personal wealth without thinking LONG term.

Do you want a true conservative as POTUS? Was Ronald Reagan a true conservative?

Glad you have come around to recognizing what is wrong, finally.

We need strong government, strict laws and controls over the banking and Wall Street creeps. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) is a good start.

The re-enactment of the Glass-Steagall Act should be President Obama's first priority with the new Democratic Congress. Naturally, Republicans will be sucking up to the Koch Bros., Wall Street, mega banks and whining about FREEDOM but with your new support that can be overcome.

The alternative is to go ahead and let what's going to happen, happen.
Then let Dems own it outright, if you hand the ball off to Mitt and they
don't generate millions of jobs and cut the Budget Deficit by a huge
margin all without raising your taxes the Dems will have a field day.

Either way you may lose your right to buy a gun and possibly have to
submit a list with a fee for it. We're just one mass murder away from
more gun control anyway.

And that can't happen.

We have to pay for our decades of overspending and the FED's money printing with high unemployment and a far lower standard of living.

Slashing spending, bringing the troops home, cutting govt regulation, ending subsidies, ENFORCING THE RULE OF LAW, etc... will eventually bring the economy back but it won't eliminate the pain we have to go through for our past and current excesses.

It is about FREEDOM!

Go ahead and research it till you are blue in the face. It is about FREEDOM and the invisible hand of the free market. Greenspan said he did not think fraud would occur in the FREE MARKET. We shrunk government by repealing all those regulations and crimes. FREEDOM is what we have. And no crimes. Crimes have to have a law in effect at the time something is done making it illegal. We do not have them now. Thanks, Phil Gramm.

The Democrats have been the Majority for 46 of the last 60 years in the House.
The Democrats have been the Majority in the Senate for 40 of the last 60 years.
Presidents propose Congress disposes,,, assign the budgetary inequities where they belong Presidents are only the titular head and a influence of a given era in my opinion.

Ron Paul had TARP right in my opinion,,, his paraphrased quotes;
"It is immoral--Dumping bad debt on the innocent taxpayers and it is an act of theft and is wrong.
It is unconstitutional--There is no constitutional authority to use government power to serve special interests.
It is bad economic policy--By refusing to address the monetary system while continuing to place the burdens of the bailout on the dollar, we can be certain that in time, we will be faced with another, more severe crisis when the market figures out that there is no magic government bailout or regulation that can make a fraudulent monetary system work."

In my opinion and in the opinion of Congress they have the right Constitutionally to levy taxes to any degree they deem necessary,,, so they do,,, to the extent that allows their reeelection.
We are not a pay as you go nation,,, our aspirations won't allow that.

Thanks for bringing back on topic.

The american people and especially repubs overwhelmingly opposed TARP, yet now we have ..

Obama pro TARP voter
Biden pro TARP voter
Ryan pro TARP voter
and Romney although he wasn't in congress to vote supported the passage of TARP.

The All TARP Tickets, all in Wall St's pocket.

bill clinton signed the repeal of glass steagal dude. The same bill clinton who was getting paid $50k per month from Jon Corzine's MF Global as client money was being stolen.

Amazing how many democrats were behind repealing glass steagal, isn't it?

I got your research dabtl. And all it shows is corruption and crime, no freedom involved except for more criminal activity.

Speaking of criminal activity, eric holders law firm clients were all big banks. Maybe thats why he will not prosecute any of these crimes?

And obaMAo says nothing illegal was done. ha ha damn he is sooooooo toast.

The banks have the most expensive lawyers working for them, criminal and civil. Unless there were good laws, as you point out Phil Gramm's repeal of Glass-Steagall and the Commodities Futures Modernization Act stripped us clean, then there is nothing to enforce. All you need to do is point out one criminal act and the statute it violates. Then you will be a genius.

I did not think much of Clinton and his pandering to Wall Street. Still don't.

But, now you can vote for Ayn Rand acolyte Paul Ryan and repeal everything in the way of the banks and Wall Street sucking up all the money.

Small time compared to Madoff. The SEC was headed by a guy opposed to enforcement under Bush. It still is underfunded by the Congress. Note who controls the House and wants to repeal even the piddling Dodd-Frank regulations.

It takes money and man power. Republicans want to deny that to the government at every turn.

Do not whine about what you wanted. You got it.

Great tell that to Obama.
He can start by dumping Holder and Geithner.

There have been lots of laws broken.
Repealing GS didn't end fraud, price fixing, bribery, perjury, document falsification and money laundering crimes and there has been plenty of that alone.

Bullshit!!!!

It is quite clear that the obaMAO administration and congress are aiding and abetting crimes against the American people.

Can you really be that stupid?

The House does not control the SEC or the CFPB (that OBAMA created)-why did they not discover PFG??I'm guessing they aren't the only ones that were cooking the books-probably be more coming, but the gov is just too stupid/inept/lazy/apathetic/etc to really do anything.

The one whining is you-still trying to blame everything on Bush and his administration.Yeah,Bush was a screwup, but 3 years into "Hope N Change" and what do we have?

Wake up stooge.

Whadya mean?!!

Gitmo's closed, there's more money in the economy than ever, the Patriot Act has been repealed, we're out of the middle-east, there are fewer people on the unemployment roll, etc., etc.

Your turn to wake up. The SEC was led by a person who did not believe in enforcement actions during W's terms. It was decapitated in enforcement by your party insisting on cutting investigators, investigations and enforcement.

Three years into President Obama's first term we have Republicans blocking everything. Good job.

Huh,the R's must have screwed up blocking the CFPB Obama created.

PFG was cooking the books for a lot of years-even a cursory look could have found it.

Face it-there has been no real change under Obama-blaming the R's until you are drooling worse than normal doesn't change anything.

Over 3 years of failure........typical lib/commie excuse-always blame someone else.It's always someone elses fault.ALWAYS.

Hahaha-no more Hope N Change...now it's FORWARD,

ETA-Reminds me of the Clinton/Dole Simpsons episode-"we msut move forward, not back. All the while twirling twirling twirling."

You forgot cutting the deficit in half in his first term.He did do that, right?

I remember him pledging to do it,but I haven't really been paying attention. Is it in half?More than half?

Hmmmmm.......Peregrine Financial CEO is being indicted with 31 charges of lying to govt regulators.

I guess no one told the prosecutor that we no longer have any laws or crimes since Glass Stegall was ended.
