Has anyone had a problem shipping ammo? UPS store wouldn't take it!
It is packaged correctly and has the ORM-D label. Any suggestions? |

The stores usually don't take them. You have to go the nearest main hub.

Thanks..I'll give that a shot. Maybe I'll call first to make sure and save a trip.
The a$$wipes at the store went into a panic like I had the plague or something! |

Same experience as "Tuscan" went to the hub, the never blinked, arrived the other end short order. The local stores are not really UPS just franchises. Be sure and label ORM D, small arms ammo.

If your local gun shop has a UPS account his weekly pick up fee drops as his volume increases. My FFL lets me ship from there all the time since it can help save him money. When he gets his bill each month he tells me what I owe him. The driver doesn't think twice about receiving guns or ammo shipments.

You will have no success shipping ammo there. Take your ammo to a UPS hub, and be sure to mark the package with proper ORM-D insignia. This is what I tape on my ammo shipments.

What is this "shipping ammo" of which you speak? I thought ammo was only received...hmmm...
![]() The only shipping I do is down the barrel of a gun. |

I used to ship ammo. I bought relatively large amounts back in the early 2000s and when ammo prices got stupid, I sold some of mine for enough that I have no money in the stash that remains.

I would rather have the ammo, your opinion obviously differs.

UPS Stores are private contractor/franchise stores for UPS. They are prohibited by the company to receive firearms and ammunition for shipping. A local store gave me that info when I asked about shipping a firearm.
