Original Romanian Military issue AK47 75rd drum magazine, 7.62X39 *Condition Very Good to Excellent*

SET YOUR AK ON FIRE WITH THIS MAGAZINE!

This is the magazine every AK was meant to have!

These are military grade drum magazines with a proven record for relability under combat conditions.
Originally designed by the Russians for use with the RPK Light Machine Gun, they tilt forward at a slight angle for improved feeding and ease of use when using a bipod.
The magazine rapidly loads through the top with the aid of a lever to easily relieve the tension on the spring follower.
These are the only type of drum magazine used by the Russians and other European Military Forces.
Will fit any high capacity AK47 variant on the US market.

I'd love to get one. But you guys won't convert them into parts kits to sell to California. So I guess I'll get them locally. Oh well.

I own two Romanian drums. I had one of those Chinese wind up rigs...sold it.

The Romanian drums are built like a tank and have worked 100% with my VEPR.

The Romanian top loaded AK drums are military production magazines.
They are designed to handle rugged military service and be reliable in combat.

These will not Lock Up in Yugo M70 N-PAP AK
They fit very easily but the mag lock will NOT latch the drum in place.
Im going to have to return mine to APEX.

I not familiar with these and dont know if its fixable.
The Chinese rear loading ones I have fit just find with no problems
Unfortantely thats no the case with the Drums APEX is selling.

Bummer, its a nice mag, I hate to send it back

you can modify the drum with a file so it fits in your rifle....
slowly remove material from the latch that it locks against, till it is a perfect fit.

My Romanian drums is very tight in some rifles and goes in easily for others. Wouldn't fit in my buddies WASR. Just the luck of the draw on Kalashnikov tolerances.

Ive been thinking of doing that but not really sure what part of the lug to file,
top side or bottom side ? in looking at it more I wonder if the tower part might be a bit longer in height then the rear loading drums are ?
I just never had to file one so not sure where to even start.

I might just see if I can trade it off for another rear loading drum if I dont return it or try the filing...

Thanks for the help...
