Wolf 7.62x54R ammo
I've always ued the mil surplus 7.62x54R ammo in my Mosin-Nagant and had good results. How's the Wolf stuff? Is it just reboxed military ammunition or new production? I assume it's still corrosive.

The Wolf ammo is new production and as far as being corrosive goes, its not the powder its the primers that are corrosive, because of the salts used in the manufacture.HTH

My guess would be that it is not corrosive, since it is advertised as new production. I haven't fired any of it (I have too much of the milsurp stuff to burn through), but I have seen it at gun shows. It appears to be new manufacture and resembles all the other Wolf ammo in regard to case color and outward appearance. I've used tons (I'm sure the UPS man would agree!
) of the 9mm, 7.62x39, and .45 acp, and 9x18, and been very pleased with it for the price. It does smell "funky" and leaves the weapon a little dirtier, but since I clean everytime I shoot that isn't a problem. HTH.
