Post Any info on B-Square

Does anyone have any experience with scope mounts produced by B-Square? This is a request that is not limited to mounts for the FN-FAL . Any info on the firms products regardless of firearm it is mounted to will be greatly appreciated

Had one on my mini-14 - it worked... The side plate where the bolt hold open was removed, and replaced with one that had a threaded hole in it. This is how the mount attached.

I had one on an AK. It seemed like a cool design - two cross pins through the receiver, in place of the trigger pins. However, it could not hold zero worth a damn and the bolts kept backing out, even with red Loctite applied. I exchanged it for a new one thinking I had a defect and had the same problems

The one on my 870 was of similar design. It sat a little high over bore, but managed to maintain zero. However, it was severely canted to the right.

B-Square is 0 for two. In terms of FAL mounts, I would stick with the trusty DSA scope mount.

B-Square is JUNK

B-Square products are crap, Everything they made was made from cheap super light weight aluminum and whoever designed their products didn't have a drafting degree or mechanical engineering degree at all. Don't waste your time or money no matter how cheap it is as you'll find out the hard way if you do what we are telling you. IT'S JUNK.

Buy quality and only suffer the $ pain once. I have seen/heard of some that are OK , but it is the exception.

their main claim to fame was to make mounts that didn't require a gunsmith or drilling to "mount" the mount ... they had some that worked and some that didn't ... kinda like us, at times ... !!

I'll always prefer the A.R.M.S. FAL mounts ...

but what the fu@k do I know ... ???

I might as well chime in. Just got the B-Square rail for my DSA58. It mounted up after some filing on the inside front left corner. That corner was keeping it from sliding all the way up and the receiver would not close without the mod. The guns runs with it. After 30 or so rounds, I inspected it and found the spent shells were hitting the ejection port at the rear top and taking the black finish off and leaving dents in the mount. I've read of people filing the area for clearance.

It came with tall 1" rings that mounted up fine. But here's the rub, I thought the rings would be tall enough to allow using the iron sights... they weren't. So I put an AR riser next to the rail to see if the thumb screws fell into existing troughs so I could mount it all back. No luck, it needs another trough cut into the rail to allow relief for the bolt. I can do that, but like stated above, after my time and extra expense, I'm getting close to the DSA mount in cost. Say it.... should have known.

IMHO.... if you want a scoped .308 / 7/62 NATO weapon, buy a BOLT GUN!
I've screwed with the various mounts for m1a/ m14 and even had a stock built with an adjustable cheek piece. NONE of it worked as everything SHOT LOOSE with red locktite etc etc.
I have a Aimpoint T-1 mounted on a DSA and that (IMHO) is "marginal" as the Aimpoint has such a big red dot.
HOWEVER, if you want to hit a full sized silhouette target at 200 yards, it works.
That is on my FAL
