Opinions in Indian 2A1 No.1s???

Saw J&G's SGN ad and thought these could be fun...

What's your overall opinion on quality and "fun" factor?

Also, what is interchangeable with the Brit No.1s?

TIA,
MG-70

The wood and some of the metal will interchange. I know for a fact that the sight protectors, rear and front will interchange as will the trigger and trigger guard. At least they fully interchanged with the 1916 BSA I recently bought back to life.

I bought 3 of these recently. They were all in good condition, some gouges, alot of dings which could be boiled out. I checked headspace on one and it failed on the 308 field gauge (FWIW). Overall worth the money.

I've got a really nice one. They kick like a mule but are very nice .308's. Supposedly they were the latest manufactured of the Enfields and are supposed to be made of a little better steel. I've also read somewhere that they are supposed to be the highest capacity standard issued bolt action as well as being one of the last issued bolt guns. If you can find one in decent shape they are well worth owning.

Barrel is made of better steel and mags are 12 round instead of 10. Nice military .308
