Sand cut receivers

Anybody know when DSA started making all their receivers with sand cuts?

Have a 3 yr old sa58 and would like to upgrade to sand cut carrier. Trying to figure out whether my receiver would already be sand cut. Can't tell by visual inspection.

Send me your receiver and i'll put some sand cuts in it for you.

I'll send you back a sand cut carrier. You seem to have an infatuation with them these days.

Sand cuts are fairly useless to the average shooter and their environment.

I think the sand cuts are overrated. Remember, they were originally designed to be used with lots of grease, which was supposed to "capture" the grit in the cuts and keep it from accumulating and causing stoppages. FN offered the cuts in both Commonwealth spec and in the simplified Israeli config, but there were few takers as apparently the consensus was that the cuts were a solution looking for a problem in 99% of applications.

They are cool, I guess, but I've never seen an overriding need for 'em. Maybe if I were working the sandbox I'd be more interested, but I'm not, and I ain't

Ol' Dirty doesn't seem to need 'em !!!!
